Cancer is a mid-Winter and early-Spring constellation between Gemini and Leo with a delightful open cluster, The Beehive Cluster (Praesepe), another Messier as well, and a number of interesting double stars.

Start with alpha Cancri, then move over to M67, up to M44 (the little grey circle), and finally up to iota Cancri for a lot of binary stars to study.
